If farmers markets vanished tomorrow, what would you do?

Um... I can't even imagine a world where farmer’s markets vanish. I would immediately find the local farms that I regularly buy from and make a plan for when I would pick up my food each week.

What’s the most unhinged thing you do to get ultimate clarity?

I’d book an international trip for four weeks because I know I will be more inspired when I am somewhere new. Or I’ll go on, like, a four hour walk in my neighborhood—which is all farms, mountains and cows—with headphones on, singing to music I love.

You have a background in house flipping. How many houses have you owned?

I’ve owned three. I bought my first house in Pittsburgh when I was 21 with an investor. I took that money and bought my second house in Vermont when I was 23. I ended up flipping that one too. I bought my third in August of 2024, which was also a flip house in Vermont. Sometimes I see myself living in these houses, but ultimately they up being a flip project.

You’ve lived in Vermont and Washington mountain towns. Are you deeply granola hippie, or are you more edgy than that?

I am a combo of both. For example I’m really earthy and organic in terms of the food that I eat and being really low-tox and low-waste. But I also appreciate the finer things in life. Like I carry a Gucci bag and like to eat oysters and stay in fancy hotels. When you’re confident in who you are, it just allows you to be all of it.

What makes your fashion style so iconic?

It's funny that you ask...up until this past year I have never actually had a mirror in my house other than the bathroom. I just put things on that I like, that I feel comfortable in and that I feel confident in. It's not really something that I’ve ever put too much focus on. I’m just somebody who has a very distinct style. That's just part of who I am as a person so it just translates into clothing as well. I know what I like.

What are the differences between working with a big brand and personal, small brand? What excites you most about each?

The biggest difference is budget and capital. The work that I do with the founder or the person behind the brand is the same, no matter how big it is. Because we’re always just coming up against ourselves. I like to work with people who have a really big mission and vision. I see them both having the same ability for impact. What I look for is the integrity of the brand and not the size.

What’s your favorite thing about the work you do?

Oh my god, all of it. I look forward to every call on my calendar. I get to work with some of the coolest and most talented people. And the nature of the work is always such that there is more energy after each call, than there was before. It’s an honor. I often forget the impact that I have, but my clients do a good job of reminding me. I feel so lucky to have that. I guess in short, it’s the people. And the simplicity of what we do together.

What’s your typical day look like?

I wake up and immediately make coffee. I don't need it because I wake up with enough energy to run a marathon, but I just like the ritual of it. Then I sit with it and do my Gratitude Morning Practice. Then I go to the gym. After that I’ll take calls, do meetings, and usually wrap the day at 2 or 3 o'clock. At that point I’ll usually do something again to move my body. I usually skateboard, go on a hike, or a walk. Then I cook dinner. I also spend a lot of time going to the grocery store, going to the farmers market, and going to the energy doctor once a week. Pretty much everything in my life is about optimizing the way I feel and the way I show up in the world.

Would you rather write your memoir while sitting on a laptop or writing it using pen and paper while sitting on your porch?

I think it would be cooler to tell the story story of writing with a pen and paper but the reality is it would be much easier to write it on a laptop. I also change my mind every ten seconds so that would be a lot of scribbling things out.
